Since I started calling myself “the Spiritual Potter”, people have asked me what it means to be a spiritual potter. Firstly I must thank Sheila Pearl for coining the phrase “spiritual potter” at a recent LEP program with Neale Donald Walsch in Ashland.
For me, to be a spiritual potter has two aspects. Firstly, any true artist can tell you that their best works come from when they are in “the zone” – out of their minds. Something takes over and they produce from “spirit”, from Source, from the Soul. This is true for singers, sportspersons, actors, artists etc. The second aspect is to apply this “out of mind” zone to my daily life. To live every moment out of my mind is to live in the moment with love, without fear of the past, present or future.
In order to find freedom, we need to step aside from all thinking.
